App Dev & Support Engineering Lead

Role Overview
The App Dev and Support Engineering (Lead) will design, implement, and support software solutions for Risk & Research Technology team with a focus on Portfolio Analytics. This role will lead delivery for Aladdin integration and performance/attribution initiatives, acting as the escalation point for complex production issues and ensuring consistent development practices and coaching across offshore teams.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement software solutions supporting portfolio analysis, performance, and attribution workflows.
- Serve as Level 2 escalation point for production issues not resolved by Level 1 support.
- Ensure adherence to development and release procedures; drive engineering quality and peer review practices.
- Lead remediation of Aladdin technical debt and migration of Emerging Markets attribution from FactSet to Aladdin.
- Oversee development and stabilization of data pipelines and services for risk and performance analytics.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level engineers; foster a collaborative, one team culture.
- Partner with the Technical Product Owner to define and prioritize technical deliverables in agile sprints.
- Support automation, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring to ensure resilient, cloud-ready applications.
Required Skills & Experience
- 12+ years in enterprise application development, ideally within asset management or investment risk systems.
- Experience with platform-level design and end-to-end delivery of production software.
- Proven record of leading engineering teams across onshore/offshore environments.
- Hands-on exposure to Aladdin integration, performance attribution, or related analytics domains.
Preferred Skills
- Airflow, dbt, SQL, Python, C#, SSIS
- Strong understanding of enterprise data pipelines, APIs, and platform design principles.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex production issues and ensure timely resolutions.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and documentation skills.
